Yesterday, I threw caution to the wind and decided it was time to pack my things and throw my 6 month old on a plane. I made sure to pack the essentials like stuffed kitties and bathing suits. One never knows when a kitty or bathing suit will be needed so make a mental note for your next trip.
While the rest of the moms are busy working on sleeping through the night I thought it better to groom my babypants to sleep through a plane ride. I was actually terrified of what may happen during this plane ride. It was a short flight, only 2 hours, but I didn’t really want to be “that person” with “that baby”. I just crossed my fingers and hoped for the best that my kid didn’t scream and cry the entire time while 30,000 feet in the air in a moving vehicle with no escape.
Let me just say that waiting to board, I was so nervous I thought I was going to throw up. He was completely fine during the ride. He nursed to sleep during take off. Woke up and was easily entertained for the rest of the ride. A little “us weekly” and some toys to toss underneath the seats was all he needed. In fact, I would say he travels better than I do. Go figure. Not sure whose kid this is but he’s a keeper.
Totally wiped out from his travels, I just hope he enjoys vacation. Actually, I’m pretty sure he has no idea what vacation means so let’s hope I enjoy vacation.
